Suspension - one of those things where you get what you pay for. If you don't want to flash so much cash, eliminate features you don't need but still go for a decent system like Ohlins, JRI, Works or even Hagon. Take your time & skim through the many, many suspension threads here & you will soon get a feel for what's what.

I had already mounted Hagon Nitro (adjustables), Progressive suspension 11", Burly slammer 10,5" and the last ones which are still mounted Arnott Air ride.
I really have to say that the Hagon shocks where ones of the best shocks that I had and they are working just perfectly with the dyna. Good thing there was that I could changed the rebound on the shocks and always had the feeling that I was riding a Mercedes-Benz.
I sold them because in the beginning I said that I wanted something more aggressive, low...veeeery low and I bought the PS 11" and a few months later the burly's in 10,5"

O_O after 6 months of hard riding and a bunch of problems with the back (combination with 14" Ape-Hanger) I decided to go "up" again. I bought the Arnotts.
It is a difference between an air ride suspension or the normal suspension. One thing for me was clear. the stock suspension are very bad compaired to all of these.

Due to my bagger project for the dyna it is almost a "MUST" for me to have some air shocks hahaha...

my recomendation - if you do not wanna lower your bike but improve the driving quality -HAGON / Öhlins these are one of the best.

saludos

Member SquidHead has Hagon 2810s, I haven't seen anybody else running them, but they look dope and the price is outstanding. I don't know how they compare with the Hagon Nitros, but the Nitros aren't available with a black spring

If I was in the market for new rear shocks, I'd go buy the Ohlins from Puffdaddy in the Dyna classifieds. That's a good deal on a good shock.

ive got a set of 12.6" works black trackers in the dyna classifieds, the stock size for 2006 and later is 12"

Works performance makes awesome shocks once I sell the ones I have im going to put that money towards a taller set with piggy backs and all the bells and whistles..
