Looking into getting Harleys #70900274 analog speedo/tach for my '07SB. I've been reading many problems due to the U1097 code being throw on the '06-07 models. Has any one had any luck resolving this issue? Or has anyone had an install without this problem? (just trying to reinsure myself its a good decision)

I was thinking bout it at one point and decided against it due to the problems Ive read in various threads.....I would wait till they solve the programming problems.

 

I would wait dude, i bought mine and loved it but the constant random check engine light and security light while driving was a huge distraction. You never really knew if it was just that harmless U1097 code or something worse. I really miss mine though.

Just checked with the parts guys at my dealers last week and they said they hadn't heard of any changes or updates to solve the U1097 issue. I got the feeling that there isn't going to be a "Fix" for it. Really did like the tach/speedo combo tho.

 

Loved the guage too, looking at the Dakota Digital for a replacement option I hate not having a tach now.

I had just found this thing on the HD website and was considering it for my 08 Superglide, I like the look better than the Dakota digital. Do the problems only occur on 06-07 bikes?
