Default Draining Fuel? - Disregard Post

Feel like an idiot asking this, but I really must be missing something here...

I can't get the fuel to drain from my 05 FXD gas tanks. I have the fuel feed line discontected, a drain hose connected to the fuel valve running into a container below the bike and tanks, the petcock is in the on/reserve position, and the fuel cap is off. Tanks are full and not a drop is draining! I don't really want to have to syphon but what the heck.

What am I missing here? I've never had this problem before.

Nevermind, found out.

Connect drain hose to crossover inlet on oposite side tank and drain through crossover hose.

You have to pull the vacume line off the petcock and apply vacume to it to simulate the engine running or it will not drain that way

Yep. Thanks Mentor. I figured it was a vacuume feed. The crossover method worked OK in this instance. Pretty simple and a little messy.
