Anyone know where to find small led idiot lights?
Ditched the visor and moving the indicator lamps to the dash.
Went through about 2000 eBay listings all too large or wrong type. Found these at radio shack, but missing blue for the high beam. They had red and green in mini and the slightly larger red and amber. Ideally the minis would be perfect if I could get blue Wanted to keep the red green blue of stock indicator lamps. I was thinking about drilling the hhole and just dropping each factory light in since I can't find any matches.
Here's what I have so far

You will need a holder and a resistor.

I wasn't even looking at those I was trying to find these one piece ones like radio shack but these would probably work. How do they look on yours? What's the resistor needed for or is it not since just indicators

These work good as indicators but like I said you need the holder, and the resistor since the led is 3v. Usually they give you the resistors with the lights but you need to tell them the size.
Found these in packs of 20,

You need to be careful not to get too bright, superbirghts as they will blind you, those above would be about right.
I have them but they are not mounted in the holders but in tubes in my dash so all you see it the hole and the light is inside shining.
There are web pages that tell what resistor to use, I believe it is the 570 but not sure, let me look.

Like gliden said you can also get them here.

Here is the calculator
http://led.linear1.org/1led.wiz
They are asking
Source voltage
diode forward voltage
diode forward current (mA)
so the source voltage is 12
diod forward voltage is 3
forward current is 30
recomends a 330, but that would be the brightest so if you wanted it dimmer you would go the next size higher.
