Default 1" lower kickstand install question

So I have a 2013 Street Bob. I recently purchased 11" progressive rear shocks and the progressive front drop in kit. I also ordered a 1" shorter kickstand.

My question is, how do I go about installing the new kickstand? Step by step instructions and/or pics would be really helpful.

Thanks guys
Chad

no need for a shorter stand with this set up... if you really need more lean angle shave down the bump plate on the stock stand, works great to get a bit more lean... easier and way cheaper

So a 1" drop front and rear won't require a kickstand mod at all?

I changed mine to a -1" Jiffy. I did not want to grind anything down and I would have had to grind down the tab on the frame as well to make it work properly.

You will find the step by step instructions in your service manual. Easy to do.

I feel better with the lean angle now.

I put the burly slammers rear and progressives up front...i kept the stock stand for about a year...if your parking on a level surface its fine but any sorta slope even the smallest and i was constantly worried it would fall over...when i would put the stand down the bike would roll forward a bit sometimes as well...i didnt want to modify the stand so i spent $50 and no worries..

I think with lowering the front and back, you would have more piece of mind with a shorter kickstand. Installation is pretty easy. I just removed the OEM and reinstalled as using reverse steps as removal. I haven't checked the Service Manual, but I'm sure they have step by step instructions...
