Default 08 Dyna wide tire questions

What all is there to installing a wide tire (kit) to a 08 FXDF FatBob?
It has a 180 on it now. Is this the widest I can go without the
wide tire kit?

Thank you for any advice.

I've got a Low Rider so this may or may not be applicable: Did a wide tire kit earlier this year which changed the rear from a 160 to 180. Pretty inexpensive upgrade…all they did was flush some of the screws on the inside of the rear fender.

The dealer told me that there is another, more expensive, wide tire kit for my bike, which will allow a 200 rear tire. More expensive because the drive needs to be pushed further out.

On my Superglide I can only go to a 180 rear with the more inexpensive wide tire kit. It really only flushes up some of the bolts and screws under the fender. Mostly deals with the turn signal mounts and fender arms bolts. If you want to go wider than 180 you have to change out the swingarm and fender which also requires a change in the fender mounts. IMO rrrrrrreeeaaallllllyyyyyyyy expensive mod to go above 180.

Thank you sharpie.
SuperFastGlide, I looked through the search and could not find any information. Maybe
you could point me in the right direction?

You will be able to go up to a 200mm without any modifications to the bike. I've done it and I know many other Fatbob owners have as well.
