Wink Fat Bob 2013

Hello I am new.

I have HD Fat Bob 2013, just installed Vance & Hines Black Pro Pipe Exhaust System.

So what else do I need to do?
I do notice those pipe are getting very hot, I just start it up and the extreme hot?

Thanks for all your advice.

I would definitely get a Stage 1 air cleaner and a solid fuel tuner - I like my Power Vision.

Welcome to the HD Forum, you have come to the right place but stand by for a lighter wallet!

Finish off the "Stage I" by a high flow A/C (I had a SC Heavy Breather on my 'bob), and richen up the mixture a bit with XiED's at least.

BTW, a forum search will yield a plethora of threads about whether or not the A/F ratio in fact needs to modified with a Stage I.

Before you go to the Dealer, please give Fuel Moto a call and they will work with your budget and your needs and have excellent options for you. I will say that you tend to get what you pay for: more $$ gives you more flexibility/features - a lot depends on how interested you are in getting to know your tune. Fuel Moto is a HDForum Sponsor with a great reputation for customer service.

You can click on Fuel Moto on the right side of this screen under "Sponsors" and it will take you to their website - start looking at their EFI controllers.

I have never used a Fuel Pack, but I know it is a "piggyback" budget fuel controller, not anything like a PV or SERT that allows detailed control of your tune. It could be OK if you want to keep it simple and don't want to get too involved with your tune.

I'll second the Fuel Moto recommendation. Very happy with them.

The PCV is a good start. I PREFER full tuners, however, this time, went back to a power commander for the Dyna. Did that due to the fact I wasn't sure or not if I am going to go any further in this engine. The PCV will do fine with deeper upgrades as well, especially in the hands of a real good tuner.

Where do you feel that the pipes are too hot? Pipes do get pretty fricken hot - heard about one guy having his pants catch on fire! The stock tune is lean, the air cleaner and fuel tuner will solve that and maybe you will notice a difference in pipe temp

A dyno tune is the most precise way to tune your bike but is pricey and if you decide to modify your bike down the road - guess what: new dyno tune and more $$$. With a nice fuel tuner like PV you can basically tune the bike yourself, not as well as a dyno tune but a lot less $$ - your choice.

You do not have to get a new tune with just pipes, but you will be running the stock lean fuel map and it would be MUCH better with a nice ac and fuel tuner.

Do I still need to install a new air cleaner, because my bike is on 4 moths old?
Still need to go for my first oil change?

If so I need to change it, any brands ?

Thanks
