Engine Build Time

The last time I took the tank off I installed a Motion Pro quick disconnect valve for about $20. On the right side of the crossover line I had to cut off the HD clamp and installed the stainless steel hose clamp.

Very cool. So you just cut it down the middle, installed the quick disconnect? Reason for replacing the HD clamp with the SS hose clamp? Seems like you wouldn't have to mess with it. .? And when removing the tank this time you just pulled those pieces apart without having to empty the tank?
This what you ordered? http://www.motionpro.com/motorcycle/partno/12-0037/

I wanted to just cut the crossover fuel line while it was on the bike but with the tank on in was impossibly for me to get a clean angle at it so I cut the HD clamp off and drained the tank then installed the valve. I cut a 1.75" segment out from the crossover line that matched the length of the valve and then installed the valve. Now I don't have to drain the tank anymore, just disengage the valve.

That looks like the part, get the 1/4" ID one. I usually keep a pic of everything I order but could not find one from when I bought it. I bought it on Ebay for less than what you are showing.
