but you could use a 2004 fxdp dual gauge set up or 2004 sportster set of dual gauges . something like this should be pretty plug and play

Could I just take my "dash mounted ones" and mount them up? mostly want the speedo up.

Your Speedometer is electronic. FXR speedometers are cable driven off the front wheel. You could use a newer set of electronic gauges like sonnydaze posted and then deal with the wiring accordingly.

Thanks I get that part now about the cable driven part.

Next question would be ideas for a cover over the tanks?

IMO gauges should fit (4") into the double handlebar bracket.
Once relocated you could fill the gaps by welding in two round plates and wrinkle lack the console?

I have a fxd tank that you could switch out. Everything shown here but the console. Fuel gauge, fuel cap, and trim ring. It will bolt right in.

you will need wire extenders and mounting plate with backs , its pretty simple
