Default Side mounted tach/switch/speedo...anyone done it?

Just out of curiosity, does anyone have this mod on their Dyna? Looks interesting. This is a Softail modded by the Japanese Euro-custom kings from BAD LAND ...

Gives the tank a cleaner look while still keeping the functionality of the the instrument gauges. Two birds with one stone!

Joker Machine sells a kit to relocate it to your fork:

I'm trying to go the opposite direction and get the speedo up high so I don't have to look down while splitting lanes.

Leaving the switch with it makes the whole thing look like a cobbled together after-thought waiting to break off.

I'd go the opposite direction too. Many cars now have "heads-up" displays, which project your gauges onto the windshield so you never need to look away.

Thanks for the tip! Wouldn't the speedo bump the tank while turning? And
why would you look at your speedo while splitting lanes anyway?

With the "A" motors, that speedo and switch aren't going to last long mounted there.

Shouldn't you be looking at getting a pair of my carlinis?

Ha! I definitely should! Right now replacing my tensioners and inner cam bearings is priority #1 but those apes are definitely a close 2nd!

I just thought his speedo relocation mod was interesting and different from the usual handlebar mounted options you see out there...
