Default 2013 Dyna Switchback

Well I just got the ok from my wife to buy used 2013 Dyna Switchback Pearl Blue with some upgrades. First let me start by saying I purchased my first bike since I drove in college last year, I bought a 06 1200 xl custom, which I loved (very quick, easy handling) with the exception of long trips. I have been looking at Road Kings and Switchbacks, I love the handling and fell in love with the switchback similar to my sporty on some levels, plus all the reviews on here for the most part have been positive.

Well the yesterday I was looking at bikes as I do on a weekly basis and I found a 13 Switch for $12,999 with 900 miles. SO I call and do all the necessary to purchase the bike, but the dealer is giving me a crappy trade on my bike so I told him I am going to wait. Funny thing is that within the hour I get an email from my sales rep where I bought my sporty with a new 2014 switchback, I ask her the price and show her the link for the other bike. She emails me back an hour later and asks if she can call me....

well much to my surprise the dealer just took a 2013 in trade with 1200 miles and some upgrades (highway bar, led tail, sissy bar etc) and she says they will beat the other dealer and give me more for my trade....with that said I am going to pick up the bike tomorrow...very excited and I am looking forward to some longer trips! Its funny how things work out! She told me that because this is the slowest month for bike sales and since they are ten bikes behind for their qouta that they are making a deal....wow...so excited!

It's crazy to me how many bikes are out there with so little miles. I bought my 08 in 09 with 1200 miles on it and was the third person to own it... Anyway congrats on the new bike I know a lot of guys on here love their switchbacks. Ride the crap out of it!

I know...when I see a bike that is less than a year and low miles it really makes you wonder, who in the hell has the money to lose that cash $$$ in less than a year with the depreciation????? but then the other question comes to minds...is there a problem with the bike????

I doubt it. Lots of people with more money then brains buy bikes and they sit in the garage until the next cool bike comes out and they trade it in. When I bought my limited, there were 2 2012 limiteds on the floor with under 2k miles. One had cams already in, and the guy traded it in on a CVO ultra... Must be nice haha

Welcome to the Switchback clan. Find the switchback forums and I'm sure we can help with any issues you may have.

I've had mine for a few months before winter showed up in Ohio. I have no complaints that weren't fixed easy and quickly. Best bike for how I ride

Good luck!

My mom got an 09(4 years old then) tri glide last year with 900 miles on it. Seems wasteful to me. Now it has almost 4,000 miles on it though

Switchback is the way to go for a Dyna-----best of all styles rolled into one !
Wish my dealer felt even a small sense of urgency about selling a bike ! Seems that the dealer here would rather die than give ANY sort of deal ! Its full price or nothing !
....Enjoy that Switchback ---Warm weather is just around the corner !...................
