So im going to remove the rear plate mount which is tied into the third brake light (Canadian models) do the American street bobs have a plastic lining on the underside of rear fender?
Not 100% sure what you're referring to but, no there is no plastic anything on my rear fender. Unless you are referring to the license plate mount, I believe that was plastic.
No, all the wiring is tucked under the fender mount brackets inside the fender, they run along side the struts. You can pull off all that license plate stuff and it shouldn't change anything. Obviously, check as you go
Wires run thru the strut bracket. Only thing under the fender is a little plastic channel toward the seat at the rear of the fender that the wires run thru. At least that is how it is on my 14 when I chopped it.
