Default New Guy

Hey guys..been trolling for a couple of months. Bought a new 13 Wide Glide back in Sept and have been enjoying it every chance i get..when weather and work allows. I have made a few mods since purchase and will post pics as soon as i get a nice day to take a few. First Harley (won't count the real first since it never made it home...long story). I have been riding for 42 years and rode a little of everything..Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Ducati and different genres..dirt, road race, touring. Hope to learn a lot from this forum and look forward to many miles on the new bike.

Congrats on your new wide glide. Welcome to the forum.
Why didn't the first one make it home?

OK..twist my arm..bought a new 79 Lowrider the summer after i graduated High school. Cranked it up and rode it down the street and the tranny locked up. i was still in front of the dealership. They pulled it in and swapped it out that day. Called me to come get the bike later that afternoon. So, went to town to get my new bike. Cranked it up and headed home, everything working fine...for a while. Made it about half way to the house and the damn thing snapped the primary chain (apparently reinstalled incorrectly) and locked up the rear wheel when the chain wrapped it self around the trans shaft, busted the primary case and almost sent me to the ground when the rear wheel locked up. Needless to say ..i got my money back and bought a Yamaha....lol..kinda put a sour taste in my mouth for the brand for a while.
