Default Frame Paint Touch Up Pics, Paint Used, and Durability Inquiry Pic Request

I have recently completed mockup on my 2000 Super Glide and am to the point of dismantling the bike for paint and powder coat. I lucked out when I found this bike so it only has 4,100 miles on it. I am having most of the parts powder coated and have considered having the frame done as well, however it is not really in need of this. The only flaws I have found on my frame were in the under seat area, and the rear down tubes that go down in between the swing arm.

I am not totally against tearing the bike the rest of the way down to have the frame powder coated, but would really like to see some pics from any of you guys that have had to touch up your frames with paint or POR 15 so I could see if this is something I could do to save some time and cash.

I am also interested to hear how well you liked the durability of the touch up that you selected, paint used, prep as well.

Thank You For Your Time

I used this same stuff where I scraped the frame with the older bassani (now on the Fat Bob) that didn't fit so great on my FXDX. Great match, year old now still holding up

You might be able to cover that up but we will still know there is touch up paint under your seat.

Thats not funny.............but

I had almost 30k miles on my 06 and dont recall having any issues in this area on my frame, I find it odd that my 2000 looked this way under the seat with only 4k on the ODO. Maybe its because my OCD made me take the seat off my 06 every once in a while and clean that area???

Have any of you fellas tried the BlackCote or POR 15 single stage spray paint? They are now UV rated and in a spray can.

I have not used the POR Chassis black but I have used many other brands of chassis black, and they were all a satin finish and would be not as glossy as the frame. Chassis black was a very good match to older car and truck frames, and usually very durable. Between those 2 Blackcote would be a better choice for a match, the finish is very similar to regular POR15 .
