Leatherpros' t-sport leather bags installed (photos)
Since I haven't seen any threads dedicated to the appearance/fitment of these saddlebags, I figure a new thread is better than adding to the Conleys vs. Leatherpros thread.
I called and ordered these a while ago; I was torn between getting the regular cordura bags or these all-leather ones for more $$$, but I'm ecstatic about these leather ones. The workmanship looks good, heavy duty, and these suckers can carry a lot of stuff!
Anyhow, I took some pictures for anyone wanting to see how they fit on the bike. I used the H-D layback license plate/turn signal relocation kit (P.N. #60215-06) to move the turn signals off the fender support strut. Leatherpro's bags also require either the back-plates from the H-D Quick-detachable backrest docking kit (P.N. #53961-06) or drilling/tapping the existing hardware; I went with the Harley kit because I might want a removable rack in the future.
First, here's the saddlebags sitting empty on the bike:
The carrying handle/locking mechanism raised to haul the saddlebags around off the bike.
Heavy YKK zippers for both the expansion gusset and to open the saddlebag. I'm guessing with the coverage over the zippers these bags are basically weather-proof but I haven't tested it yet.
Fitting a FF helmet, there's still some room for small or foldable items.
Clearance around shocks, pipes, etc.
Docking hardware with the the saddlebags removed.

It's a good thing you gotta call them to order these. I would have bought these long ago if I could get on their site at 10pm after a few drinks. Please don't tell me if that process has changed I really can't afford them right now!

I'm actually waiting. I just spent some money on my cheap bags and the tail light mod (this after shocks and front suspension.)
My wife's birthday is coming and I will get her something nice instead of spending money on the bike. Daytona, Thunder Beach and some other spring trip. It's time to spend on the travel and save mods for next winter.
