Default Shop Manual for FXDC

Hello all:
After a 14 year absence from HD,due to a very bad experirnce, after which I swore I would never, ever buy another Harley, I recently fell head over heels for an immaculate 2009 Dyna FXDC that had been loved and cared for.I keep going out to the garage just to make sure its still there(it is).I will be doing some of my own maintenance, and a few mods. What is the best shop manual? Should I just go with the HD manual assuming I can get one from the dealer.Or are there better ones out there?

Thanks very much. And never say never.

Welcome back!

Probably best off with the HD Service Manual.

You can occasionally find them used for about $35 on the "Classified" forum.

A 2010 came up so I nabbed it a few months ago...even though I have a 2009, I figured it would be close enough for my needs.

Default FXDC Manual

Just sign up on the HD website, enter the details of your bike and you will be able to access the service manual online. You can print the pages you want if you're doing any type of maintenance and need the details of what you're doing on paper. It's all free, no need to buy a manual.

When did HD start offering that? Cool! I lost my manual somewhere between Zurich and Munich last year......

Welcome back to the dark side OP.
