Polished my SB last night and found little corrosion on the triple tree, might give it a good clean and polish. My question is, is it clear coated from factory? Thanks!
My 07 and my 08 were not. Cannot say about other years. I polished mine last year and it came out great. It is now part of my spring maintenance along with the legs.

Yeah, if I don't clean it now, it will become crap very soon. I like the words "Spring maintenance" LOL

they are but it is not wtih a liquid paint, actually have no idea what it is... but you can see it when we outgass it yellows... but when i polish trees they shine up line nothing was there... so i have no idea what is used but it is not paint or powder
Thanks for the headsup Joe. Sounds right to me, it looks like a really thin coating on top, I wasn't sure what that is. I don't want to waste time polishing the clear lol.
