Default Removed Front Signals on 14 SB do I pull wires through Bars?

Hello, I removed the front turn signals on my 14 SB today per the Harley instruction sheet. I cut the signal wire flush with the grommett at the switch housing, removed the grommett, put some electrical tape on the 3 wires exposed and tucked them up into the switch housing. Do I need to disconnect the connectors down by the neck and pull the wires out of the bars? I did not see this in the instructions. Thanks!!

I just went through this. No there are spare connectors in the neck with all the other wire bundles. The white connector is for the left and black is for the right. Solder new wires to where you cut off turn signal and buy those little plug in connectors. I forget the name of them but they look like this below. Plug into the same color wire and that's it. Make sure you allow enough spare wire to turn the bars all the way to each side. Also heat wrap your soldered connections.

I believe they are Tyco 6x Multi-Lock connectors or something like that...

I just started this as well and my understanding is cut them and leave them in the switch housings. Then hook into the new connectors like SBJ said above...

Thank you! i plan on running it for a while without front signals. I may eventually but them back. I'm going for a clean front end look. So, i guess i am done with that.

I'm also gonna put some electrical tape over the large gap at the bottom of the switch housing, probably don't need to but i like to be causious.

Why cut wires, Don't you have a plug for the signals? Or has that changed for 2014?
Usually you disconnect the plug and wires and pull them out without cutting anything.

What's that old saying..."measure twice, cut once" or is it "read instructions & think before cutting?"

Yes, any model 2012 and up, they happened to run the turn wires from switch housing. It's new to me, I didn't even know until someone pointed it out recently. Lol

They ran them together with the other wires in the switch housings. You really have two other options. 1)Try and pull the signal wires out of the factory heat wrap (good luck with that). 2) run a cut down the aforementioned heat wrap with a razor knife after pulling the wire and subsequent connector up through the frame and through the handlebars then open it up to remove the signal wires. Personally, I cut and capped them in the switch housings and will hook to the additional signal plugs.
