You can get the derby covers here:

I think I have 1 finger left but it's not powder coated yet, easy enough to have Joe powder them though. Actually have sevral styles and they come with a lexan plate and gasket, so yes they work on a stock Harley no problem.

Some have matching AC covers

Joe, find some flat ABS and cut it and shape it to fit the hole and then bond it to the fairing using Plastifix. This is what I used to do my bags. Stuff woks great.

two steps forward, 2 steps back... the paint was chipping off so easy i figured it would strip better than sand... i have used a plastic paint stripper many times with awesome results, not this time though

-2 out and i took it outside to hit it with the power washer to get any loose stuff off

so looks like this weekend I have a date with a palm sander

hell ya it is! hahah we will see when i hit it wtih the sander it may just smooth down like nothing as the paint was really brittle... sad part is if i would have left it after the first round of stripper it woud have been fine! pulled up to the primer, was great, but i hit it again and the ABS got soft... made way more work for myself! good news is that all the saddle bag hardware shoudl be here tomorrow. i got hinges off a tour pack to allow the lids to open sideways, then i got a modded police push botton so that i can get rid of the front and rear latch system. should be super clean!

Sweet project Joe! I'm just now finding some time to spend on the bike myself.

Anyway, could I get more information on what exactly you used to wrap those brake lines? It looks like some type black braided covering held on with heat shrink on the ends.

Thanks, Jason

yes sir it is... i do this to every line on the bike, really cleans it up, on my brothers z we did everything in white, came out sick. it is expandable tubing, super cheap! works awesome... you will want 3/8 for brake lines. when you cut it, use a lighter to heat the ends to melt them so it does not unreavel, i have some of this stuff on my bike for 6+ years looks like the day i put it on. I also buy all my shrink wrap from this same seller, she sells all black wrap without the writing on it... so you may want some of that, the prices are awesome! I have used them for about 5 years now, always super fast shipping and great customer service... as I stated i do every wire and line on the bike, makes it look so much better...

as you can see this way the lines vanish... little trick to clean lines on your scoot
