Default Now its leaking

I have a 2003 Lowrider with 52,000 miles on her. I recently had pinion gear and starter ring problems. While the bike has been sitting I have been forced to see a transmission leak that is between the pulley and the frame. It has been slowly getting worse. Figured since I was pulling the clutch and compensator might as well pull off the inner primary case. Just wondering what I might be getting into and how difficult it could be.

your leak will be either from the primary case or the tranny side. if it's the case your in luck you can get a new seal for under 30$ if I recall.Make sure you check the bearing for any slack or wobbles and if that is good the only other things you will need are the primary case bolts and tools to remove the clutch pack and compensator sprocket.

I'd be looking at the shift shaft seal with a strong flashlight, your mileage on the bike is a good indicator.

Definitely look into the tranny mainshaft bearing.

My cage broke causing my seal to get torn up by the shaft. The cage is plastic.
