Sportster quick release rack on my 2014 Street Bob
I wanted a quick release rack on my street bob like I had on my 2012 iron but after finding out what it would cost and what effort it would take it was out of the question . First thing I found was needed was a relocation kit for the license plate & turn signals for about $130. Next thing was new turn signals because the left turn signal stem is shorter than the right side because of the license plate spacer. Then the mounting hardware for $69. And the rack . After all was considered it would cost around $500 lol welcome to HD. I don't remember how much the turn signals were but they weren't cheep neither was the rack. Anyway this is what I came up with . I noticed the rack from the sportster I still have had a shorter spread between the mounts than the street bob rack and placed it over the fender and it didn't quite clear so I shaved the rear strut of the rack a bit so that it would . After that I drilled the struts on my street bob to receive the rear mounting hardware for the sportster rack . The holes in the front of the struts of the street bob matched perfectly to the rack . The spacing between the rack and the struts is perfect front and back and after putting the sportster mounting hardware on this is how it came out
