Default My 120R **** the bed @ less then 3000 miles

I rode to work to get it out on a ride before daytona it started as what sounded like a tick for sometime now.then on my last ride a knock @ some speeds limped it back to the house and did a compression found 100/90.so I took it down only to find that it was assembled with the loosest fit piston to wall I have ever seen in 20+ years! then to make it worse is the crank runout is .013 i am sure the crank weights shifted.

That really sucks.
That is one of the reasons I built my engine instead of getting the 120R
This is the first failure I have heard about.
May be more, just haven't heard about them

I read a bunch before I got it.they seem to be good then a guess there not much time on them yet.since the failure I googled it and now I see that I am not the only 1.I nshould have gone with my gut an built my own also.live an learn, hard lesson.the problem now is that there are limited piston's offered for this combo I,m not sure yet if the screamin eagle 4.070 pistons are even going to be big enough may need to get new jugs.nice that they sold me this motor so loose that the piston and cylinder that shows no sign of use other then being glazed over from oil foul from blow-by.

Sorry this happened to you. I'm not surprised by the crank because it's the same **** design in the rest of their bikes. Hopefully you can get it fixed at a reasonable cost.

First I've heard of this, but I haven't looked either. Hope you get it back to riding condition soon.
