Default Buy the new Low Rider or Super Glide Custom?

Greetings -

I'm an older rider and like classic looks and chrome. I was about to buy a Super Glide Custom (I like the look a lot), but with the new Low Rider I'm trying to decide if I should change my mind and get the new bike.

I realize that no one's had a chance to ride the new bike, but I'd like your thoughts. I do like the adjustable seats/handlebars and the dual front disc brake, but I don't like the Low Rider logo on the battery cover nor do I like the two into one pipes.

I also like the mid location for the pegs on the Super Glide -- I'm an older rider and like the comfort and security of pegs under my legs, as we used to say. The Low Rider moves them out 2" which doesn't seem like much of a change, but it looks like it could be an in between location - too far to give me the under the leg position I prefer, and not far enough forward to let me stretch out.

Your comments and experience are welcome. Help me decide.

I like the Low Rider because it has the factory tach/speedo already on the bike. Other than that I would go for either one.

I sat on one today at my local dealership. I don't much care for the tach and speedo on them they seem to small to me. I am used to the bigger one on my Super Glide. I don't like the exhaust at all. The adjustable bar set up would be nice but I don't really like the looks of it either. That's why the ads all have something rolled up and strapped on there covering up that beauty! The bars themselves aren't real comfy either. Really HATE the battery cover as well. I much prefer the Super Glide.

changes between the sgc and lowrider:
mags = would have done it anyway, spokes are for dirtbikes.
seat = havent sat on the new one but i'd have changed the superglides seat anyway,
extended mids = bonus point, if your over a 30" inseam those 2 inches will make a difference. should still have plenty of room for some highway pegs.
shorter rear shocks = not a fan. would have to swap back to 12.5" or taller.
slightly smaller tank. = eh, just have to gas up 10 miles earlier.
new dash = stock tach is nice. just not sure how useful it will be that low on the tank.
new risers = would have to try.
exhaust = probably get swapped out pretty quick anyway.
dual discs = bonus point.
new battery/fuse box covers = not a fan. but cheap to replace/repaint.
headlight cover thingi = not a fan. not a big deal either.

amberwhiskey/black paint scheme is pretty nice. even with the big hd logo on the side.

so i guess ya just have to ask yourself what changes would you be making to the superglide vs the lowrider and how much it would cost for each one.

I'm not talking about the newer ones with the digital tach on the odometer/tripometer readout, I'm talking about the actual tachometer analog gauge on the low rider and other models.

SGC. The new Low Rider is a girls bike

Just kidding of course, but it does seem like they went WAY out of their way to make the bike fit smaller people.

Seats, pipes, peg locations and covers are easy to change. The only real advantage the LR offers is the dual disk setup..
