Default rear wheel removal

Hi all,I am trying to remove my rear wheel by myself so I can replace the rear tire at the indy shop near me. This way I can save some dinero. Any way I am having trouble loosening the nut and bolt for.the axle. Does the bike need to be hacked first or do I loosen the axle adjusters first? Never done this before any help would be greatly appreciated. Also I have an 07 street bob. Is.that nut / bolt an 1"1/4 or 1"1/8 thank you

13 steps in my Fat Bob HD Service Manual. If you do not want to buy a "hard" Service Manual, I highly recommend going to a site like tradebit and download your Service Manual electronically - I did this about 5 days ago for $5.

Mine is a 36mm. Not sure about your year. What does hacked mean?

+1. I have the service manual, parts manual and electrical manual. And torque wrenches. Money well spent.

Hi,

Just loosen while on ground then put on lift, dont touch axle adjusters, lift bike up and take wheel off

When you put back on if doing it by yourself you want wheel just off ground so you can reassemble easy

Thanks

I assume hacked is the fat fingered version of jacked, lol. And axle nut is 36mm and do not mess with the adjusters. Don't forget to apply some fresh anti-seize to the axle when you put the wheel back on.

Don't be tempted to use a big open-ended wrench or adjustable. You can round off the corners of the nut. Get a ring spanner of the right size.

Something like: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Draper-36m...-/360844646714
