Default 2007 FXDWG mid mount foot peg brackets

I'm 73 and HD parts challenged! I just recently (December) purchased a 2007 FXDWG. I went riding yesterday for the first time since getting the bikE. The forward controls are fine, but I need mid-mount foot pegs for comfort on the highway. I purchased on the internet (can't remember where) a pair of mounting brackets, parts#'s VT27-0638 (left side) and VT27-0029 (right side). The right side appears will fit fine, but the left side is tight (rubbing) up against the primary case cover.

I've been looking at all the posts about mid mount supports and am confused (easily done). I'm finding different posts with HD part numbers. 50649-90 (right) and 50639-90A (left side). Are these part #'s motorcycle year specific? Anyway I need a left side chrome foot peg bracket for a 2007 FXDWG that doesn't rub on the primary case.

Now...... The mounting holes on the bike appear to be threaded (not sure), but look to be half assed threaded. I can't locate bolts for mounting the brackets. Somewhere I read the bolts are self threading (again, can't remember where). Does anyone know where I can get the bolts and are they size specific? The holes don't look to appear very deep.

I apologize for the long and rambling post, but would like to find someone with a 2007 FXDWG that has solved this problem.

Thank you in advance for help! Ralph

Nevermind on the bolt size. I had a 3/8" X 1 1/2" bolt, but didn't seen to want to start, but it finally did. The threads were gunked up with old hard grease. Now I need the correct left side bracket.

I ordered chrome hex head bolts and chrome lock washers from Bolt Depot. It's a great place for all and any size bolts, etc. and they have a lot of chrome stuff also.

If it rubs where mine did, it rubbed right at the curve of the engine case where it curved upward.
I put a couple of short bushings to push it outward to clear. Can't really tell it.

I ordered another one from Surdyke Part # 50639-90A.

Their parts man said it would fit mine. I have doubts though. The holes in the one I have are too small to accept a 3/8" bolt. I'll wait until I receive my new one and if it doesn't fit I will send it back and drill out the holes in the one I have. I'll add a spacer of some sort behind it with longer bolts. What did you use to space it out and how much? I probably need about a 3/4" to 1" spacer.
