Default Quick Release Windshield Clamps vs Fairing

Has anyone used the quick release clamps like these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Harley-41mm-...-/111294103341 as the connecting hardware for their batwing fairing? How much weight do you think they will take? I picked up a Tsukayu fiberglass batwing, and although you can quickly remove the fairing...the hardware left behind is really nasty. If the quick release clamps can handle the weight/vibration...i think I am going to go that route.

Comments?

I'm pretty sure Mike Horrell mounted his batwing with those clamps. He's done a lot of miles with that setup.

Thanks for the info....Is your batwing a lightweight shell or a full fiberglass inner/outer fairing?

Mike's a shell... I don't like radios, etc. when I ride, but those clamps will easily support whatever
weight is involved in a whole media center build-out.

I've been using the quick release clamps for various fairings over the last few years, nothing quite as substantial as a batwing though. I'd think you'd want to use four of them. You can also get the lockable version now.
