Default Standing to stretch

One of the reasons I like the mid controls of a dyna is it allows me the ability to stand while riding to re-seat myself and stretch I'm just wondering if this is a common practice among mid control riders as it seems none of my riding buddies do this

I've got forwards on my dyna so I stand on the passenger pegs to stretch. I don't do it in traffic, but there are a lot of empty roads out here in the wild west. I've been doing it for 29 years, so I guess the law of averages says that I'll crash at any moment.

Default Adjustment

I stand occasionally to make an adjustment of the placement of the "equipment". They seem to work their way to an uncomfy place every now and again.

Thinking about putting my mids on and leaving my forwards so I can stand for this and for potholes and bumps

Forwards. Have stood on p pegs before, as well as ride with feet there when on long empty stretches and/or haulin'***.

I do it on my mids when butt gets sore during long day. Sometimes I'll ride for several minutes like this. It's NOT an unsafe practice. When I learned to ride on dirt bikes in the '70s you stood on pegs to make it through rough areas. Ever wonder why trials bikes don't even have seats?

Guess I am the outsider on this topic. When you see a man stand and loose his footing and have to pull over to recover his shin's down ... ya I had to go threw that.

IMO ... pull over and stretch. Every road has room to stop.

I have flat serrated foot pegs which it would be difficult to "lose footing on". Of course if you valve form over function and bought slippery pegs just because they looked cool, all bets are off.
