Default lines on tire spacers

Just changed my tires and once again wondering what, if any, significance the lines on the spacers have?

I do believe the lines on the spacers point to the sides of the spacers that have the "larger" chamfered side that I think my manual says must go towards the fork sides, not the wheels.

Notice, I used the mildly weak words of "believe" and "think" but I'm fairly confident.

Fairly.

Thanks,
i just revisited my manual and yes you are right (larger chamfered end facing away from wheel). Oddly, the rear assembly instructions do not mention this...? i just check my spacers and as my luck would have it, they are all wrong (lines closer to wheel). I guess i'll have something to do before spring gets here..

Mine are wrong too I guess. The lines are towards the bearings. I guess I messes up when I installed my new wheels. Im really curious what difference is makes though.

I have the manual but I cant find anywhere where it talks about the orientation of the lines on the spacers. And when I installed the wheels I remember not being able to tell which side of the spacer had the "larger" chamfer. The whole thing is slightly confusing.

I know that there is supposed to be a difference, but I just did mine, and I cannot see any difference in the sides.

I would not tear it apart just to swap them around...

All my spacers are aftermarket and have no lines.

You are correct though, the V goes toward the outside. Right side of bike IIRC. That is the way my stock ones were before I changed Laced to mags.
