Default Front forks bag on down tubes

Thinking about putting an old front forks bag on the down tubes for tools. I know they make bags specifically for the down tubes, anybody have any experience with just a regular fork bag? How does it hold up (clearance, does it move around etc.)?

Thanks

I have been running tool bags on my down tubes for years. I just used the two straps it comes with. Never had a problem.

I run one on my scoot - very handy and I think it makes a better "accessory" than a blanket - lol

Nice plug...I have two leather holsters from Captain Itch and they are the best leather and workmanship I have owned for leather products.
