sorry. i meant what is the different and best choise. short / long?

it seems that the pipes move different on some of them aswell

Depends on the look you want. The shorter exhaust has better clearance than the longer has. super glides seem to have better clearance to start with. With it you should be able to use what ever.
Make sure they are not the B1 series exhaust.

Any longer pipe puts more stress on the tranny mounting bolt hole. Ask me how I know.

I have the 1D5250s, pretty loud(even with quiet baffle), no clearance issues.

short would be my choice. I don't buy long heavy pipes any more.
