Default Street Bob Front Turn Signal Removal Help

Hey everyone,

I'm in the process of redoing my 2006 Street Bob and in order to clean up my bars I'm completely removing the front turn signals (I'm NOT relocating them).

I heard I may need to buy something (Can't remember what it is) to make sure my rear signals work and flash properly. Has anyone done this? The part I may need is slipping my mind.

Can I buy it locally at Radioshack or is it something I have to order? Any links and input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys, I'll post pictures in a new thread of my rebuild when she's back together.

You need a load equalizer. Which is basically adding resistance (resistors) to the circuit in place of the missing lights.

Yeah and the resistors get really hot. Hard to justify spending $70.00 for just removing my turn signals. I didn't expect that. haha

Anyone have any luck with resistors? What OHM/Watt? I'll probably just take the equalizer route but I'd like to explore my options.

Let me know,

Thanks.

What wattage are the bulbs you are replacing? Seems like it would be pretty easy to get into the ballpark.

I'm not entirely sure as I don't have it right in front of me. They are just regular amber turn signal bulbs for smoked turn signal covers. Not LED

I have a cheap work around for you, if you install a light bulb in series, hide it somewhere, it will function.
