Default 2013 wide glide tire question - for buddy

A buddy of mine has a 2013 wide glide and wants to go bigger on his tires. His stock is:

Front - 80/90-21
Rear - 180/60-17

I believe you can go to a front 90/90-21, am I wrong?

And what is the largest for the rear? He doesn't want to swap rims or do any modifications. I ride a road glide and he is kinda internet lacking skills so I said I would do some research.

Your replies are kindly appreciated.

The problem with the rear wheel is that it is only 4.5" wide. It is hard to find a 180 that will fit. Harley and Pirelli I believe are the only ones that have one designed for the 4.5" wheel.

That's why the Screamin Eagle 180 is so much money.

He could fit a 200 under the rear IF he changed wheel, but you said he did not want to change.

He can go up a bit in the front like you said, but without a rim change, he is pretty much stuck.

I have a 2011 Wg. As soon as I burn up this set of tires I'll go to the 90/90 front and a 200 rear. Guys are running the 200 on the stock 5.5" rim. Even tho it really sould have a wider rim. I believe the 2008 Hd Cross bones ran a 7"rim with a 200mm tire. Check tire recommendation for rim width.

Yep, from what I've seen if you go to a 200 rear you have to change rim to a 18".

I just put a 90/90 21 night dragon on the front of my wide glide with no problems, and i think that size looks better. As far as rear I have read here that some have been able to fit a 200 on stock rim,I haven't personally tried it.

These bikes must have come from the factory with wider rims than any other Dyna I guess...don't let your buddy put a 200 on it unless the rim is 5.5" wide!
