Default Progressive Shocks - Heavy Duty or Standard?

I am changing my rear shocks on my 2012 SB )have also put on a Mustang Solo seat)

Only ever ride 1 up with no bags or anything really - just me!

I am around 190lbs

What would be the best option - the HD or standard 12' shocks for me do you think?

Obviously looking to improve the ride and comfort

Thanks

Weigh a little less than you, went with standard duty set in the middle adjustment. I was told the heavy duty would be way to stiff. Good luck.

Standard. I had HD 412s and they were harsh and I'm 230 lbs. I sent them to progressive and had them swap the springs to standard and they were much better.

I had the 412 HD in 11", my a$$ never sat in the seat, every bump it was in the air! HD springs are meant for some one +250lbs.
Replaced them with the 444 with standard springs, much better and enjoyable ride.

Installed 12" 444 std spring on my 06 lowrider recently. Weigh 190, ride 1up with lite bag ocassionly and love the way it rides and handles.

You should not need HD springs up until at least 250lbs is what I was quoted by progressive. I weigh 180 and the std springs were already stiff as hell with 11.5" shocks.

I have the 444 Heavy duty. I never have rode two up. I weigh 170. I have the pre-load set about half way. I think it rides awesome. Everyone that rides it thinks it is too stiff. It sucks up the bumps really well.
