Default Help guys! Want to ride today!

I removed the 3 plastic clips that hold the clutch cable to get some extra length for my new bars. Anyway I can re-route it for more? Two: Anyone ever buy a brake line from HD with the screw in fittings at each end that screw into the banjo fittings on the MC and caliper? I've already returned one and now this one (brand new) has a small leak at the fitting where it screws in. Am I supposed to use Teflon tape or something? I keep reading about some "copper crush washers" that have not come with any of these I have purchased.

Thanks!

You will probably need to replace the clutch cable with a longer one and yes there are supposed to be 2 copper crush washers per banjo bolt. One on each side of the banjo.

No no no, not the banjo bolt.

Its leaking at the threads between these two pieces. I have the washers on each side of the banjos with the orings in the center....

Also, I know some people have re-routed their clutch cables - I dont need much more - just asking how they routed them!

Sounds like maybe the flare part of it is leaking. Is it possible for you to post a pic of the actual pieces you are working with?

Yeah I can when I get home later - thanks!

Another thing - my control wires reach and are not stretched - but where do I need to go in the bike to get some more slack out of them?

AN fittings dont use tape or sealant. But they can leak if you overtighten them and crack the flare on the female (line) end.
