I love my touring bike but wanted a smaller, more nimble, bare bones bike to play with on shorter rides and for getting around town.

The stars all aligned just right and this afternoon I take delivery of my new "leftover" '13 fat bob.

I'm giddy.

Default Welcome- You will LOVE it!

My first Harley was a 2004 Road King Custom which I really enjoyed riding on longer trips but would hesitate to pull out of the garage to blast around town. That bike got flooded in Hurricane Sandy and I took the insurance money an bought a 2013 Super Glide Custom last June. I take that bike out any time I get the itch to ride. You will love the difference in weight and the acceleration. If you set it up with some portable bags and windshield it will do everything the tourer will do on a long trip, but do so with attitude. My signature picture below was one I took as I was heading off for a long weekend of riding and camping.

Congrats man. I was going to buy one last year, but things didn't work out. Thankfully they did this year though. Make sure to post plenty of pics.

Get a dust cover for the touring bike. You're going to need it this season.

Enjoy it; that's a great bike. (I grabbed my "leftover" '13 in September)

This bike is a rush. About as opposite end of the spectrum as I could get from my limited. 20 mile ride home from the dealer was a hoot.
