Default 2014 Fuel Milage

Got a question for any 103ci Dyna owners. I put a 2" tank lift on my ride as soon as I bought it without even riding a full tank. Now my sensor inside the tank is off because of the lift, so now I need to go by my milage and not what the gauge says.

Anyone know what kind of milage your're getting on a full tank?

I may have to take the lift off and ride a tank full out to see.

Damn a 2' tank lift is huge, didn't know 24" could be put on. Hahaha just messing around. I just put on a dk 2"lift myself but I am already at empty so can't tell how off the gauge is. But I usually go about 150 miles before I fill up and that leaves me right about where the red"danger zone" is on the gauge.

If you're mechanically inclined you could just bend the fuel sensor arm down about an inch and it will then be very close to how it was.

Original reading isn't accurate anyway so going by trip meter is the way to go.

Thanks...corrected...lol. Yea, I did the same thing. I put the lift on the tank when it was full and it read fuel low on the screen and the indicator light came on. Manual says that the tank holds 4.9 gallons times 35mpg SHOULD, (conservatively), give me 171 miles from full to empty. If anyone knows what kind of fuel milage they are getting on their 103ci Dyna....that would help too.

you can always just pop the cap and look inside. You may want to make a habit of filling up at around 150 miles.

With a 2" lift, that just means your reserves is more than what it was when it was stock. I go about 150-175 between fueling but I have a 96" that is getting about 44 avg MPG. I have carried mine into the reserve somewhat and went about 200 miles between fillups.

I usually go about 150-170 miles in between fill ups and I usually put about 3.5-4 gallons in so I could probably go farther but I dont like to push my luck.

Default Mileage

Your mileage will depend on your wrist...Go fast, less MPG. I use 160 miles as my fill up number.
