Default FXDWG wheels

Was disappointed to learn of the relatively few selections of wheel styles available for my 2012 Wide Glide. The one style that looked killer was the Reaper in Black Ice but they did NOT make one in 21" and did not have matching rotors to go with.

Am I missing something re: 21" wheels? Even looking at a few aftermarket sources, the offerings were minimal, not to my liking or were ridiculously expensive.

Anyone else run into this?

Holy ****. Slow down with the responses, guys. I can only read so many letters in the alphabet. Then I gotta get my dog to help me figure out the rest.

I had the same problem. I ultimately decided to just do a taller wider rear spoke wheel and eventually wider front spoke wheel.

I have not really looked that closely.I see many Wg. With custom wheels. Have you looked at a little wider then stock rim ? Some are running the wider 18"s on the back. This also opens up tire options.

It's not the back wheel I'm concerned about- it's the front- at 21" there aren't a lot of options out there other than some custom-mades and some overpriced Arlen Ness.

There was also the issue of the rotors not matching with the wheels. My HD service guy also noticed that.

Guess I'm a little bummed that they feature the wheel style I wanted (Reaper in Black Ice) but only in 19" config on the HD website, under the category for 2012 WG's. Why would HD put 19" wheels up on the page for 2012 FXDWG's when the front is 21"?

Is it possible (and/or common) to go to a smaller front wheel size on the WG's?

Step out of the Harley parts catalog. There are thousands of aftermarket wheels that will fit your wide glide.

Good advice but already have done that- mostly internet searching using my bike's year/make/model and the type of wheel I want as a search criteria.

Like I said, not a lot came up and what did was either not to my liking or way overpriced...

Good news is I got a local custom bike builder looking for me as well as one of my service guys from the dealership.

Hopefully, something will turn up.

That's dumb that they did not make the reaper in 21 black because that wheels is nice I have the chrome version and really like the look on my WG.

Don't search for a wide glide rim. Just search for 21" rim with single rotor.

Look at these guys. Most of their wheels come in your size with correct axle and matching rotors.
