Default FXDC Mini Apes, rinehart 2-1, and powder coat blacking it out

Put some Mini Apes and new grips on the Superglide today. I have a rinehart 2-1 exhaust on the way to replace the Rush slip-ons and am also blacking out the trans covers, outer primary, derby cover, and cam cover. Going to leave the jugs and rockers as is. It's going to be a little like the wide glide engine, but superglide everywhere else.

It's a 2013 superglide custom and I did not swap cables. The clutch cable is tight when turned all the way right, but still fine.

Lots done today, removed my headers and rush slip ons, shifter lever, highway mounts and pegs, mid mounts, mid pegs, foot brake, belt guard, and air cleaner guard. All but the exhaust is going to the powder coat shop for a gloss black finish. I already have a engine primary, derby, timing cover, and trans covers in a 20% satin black to install as well. Should get the test of the stuff to the powder coater Thursday and hoping to install all this weekend!

Oh, and I have a rinehart 2-1 that I'll be installing at the same time. Gonna have a bunch of take offs to sell soon!

Sorry about the double post. I had errors with the phone. Sounds like it's gonna be really nice. Keep the pics coming

Could you share how you dealt with the master cylinder (to keep from leaking,) while making the swap? Thanks for sharing.

I have a '13 Superglide, as well. I have the 10" FXDB bars that I'm going to install along with a signal relocation.

Just keep it upright as best you can. I had a very very little amount of fluid come out, but the brake is not spongey at all. Just take your time. It's a really easy job to do.
