Default Tail light BCM code

Was wondering if anyone had fix the problem with the edge fender brake light on a WG 2011 & up ?
Changed mine last year but can't seem to make the code go away even if i put a resistance on the line (125 miliamps) and even dealer can't get rid of it ! Looks like canadian models are totally out of wack when installing American parts ! LOL
I clear the code easily but as soon as you touch brakes. ... comes back on ... obviously
Anyone with electronic knowledge as for the resistance needed ????

Ya the code is 2161!

My guess is that it is not drawing enough AMP from the LED's?!? If this pic is correct, dealer can readjust the BCM to specific voltage ?!?
I will ask for sure with mine
