I pulled my bike out for this year's first ride, she started right up I turned the handle bars and it shut off, I checked the Fuzes and the bottom row 4th fuze (ignition I believe) was popped. I took the controls off the bars and the black and white ignition wire was shorted I spliced the wire and replaced the fuze and still won't start, I have all my lights but when the key is on I don't hear the fuel pump kick on. Any suggestions on what to look at next? The bike is a 2006 FXDLI I'm lost any help would be great

 

I would check the rest of the wires in the hand control with a multi meter through to the connector in the back bone of the frame. Also check your fuses again using the multi meter. Sometimes they look fine to the naked eye but aren't really. Did you do any work on the controls prior to putting the bike away for the winter? If so that is were I would start.

 

No work has been done but I did notice one wire was pinched when I took the controls off that was the short I fixed, I'm couldn't find another with a multimeter on the controls but I will double check the fuses again thanks
