Default LED Daymaker 2013 FXDB streetbob

I tried searching the forum and online for installation instructions for the LED Daymaker for my 2013 FXDB Dyna Streebob.

I purchased :

Daymaker LED Headlamp-67700145
Part Number 67700145

LED Headlamp Housing Kit with black Ring (not chrome as shown in pic)
67700093
Part Number 67700093B

seems to be some confusion as to whether or not i even need the housing kit. the new headlamp does not seem to fit well inside the new housing kit? anyone do a similar install on a 2013 dyna? ty.

I just installed the same headlamp, same part number. I used the stock bucket, it should be the same as yours

The light fits in the stock housing, just have to make sure the wires are out of the way of each other in the back there.
That rubber gasket is about stupid though, that POS is hokier than put your left foot in and shake it all about

It doesn't fit correctly, you just have to hope for the best and mash it together. There is of course the possibility I mashed it wrong since the instructions make no mention of how it goes but I installed mine between the back of the DM and the ring it pushes against.

I mean seriously, is it asking to much for the people that make different parts to do a little planning with each other!

Mine didn't have a rubber gasket. The instructions said something about a rubber gasket but the dm didn't come with one (unless it was that stupid rubber band thing that was holding the inner package together) and the stock unit didn't have one either. If it didn't have one from the factory then I'm not worried about it

I think it was to help reduce vibration between the two hard surfaces but it was definitely more silly than functional.
Yeah, it was that flat mason jar seal looking thing. It wouldn't bother me so much if it at least would have fit the sharp contours of the back of the light.

I put the Daymaker LED in my 2013 FXDC. Fit the stock bucket without issue. Hope the parts guy checked the fitment guide. You'll be pleased. It made a (pardon the pun) night and day difference.

I just installed the new day maker in my 14 street bob. used original housing, no problems. the directions do say, to use the rubber gasket if there is one on your old light, if not just discard.
