Definitely don't waste money on stage 1 download from HD. The glowing headpipe issue I had was due to over rich cold start strategy will not be fixed with the Stage 1 download. I took a lot of fuel out of the cold start programming and that problem is long gone. The bike still starts, id;es and runs well. And the stage 1 is really only meant for Air Cleaner and slip ons. Changing pipe length or going to 2 into 1 will require a tuner for best results. Again Powervision is really recommended because you can do so much with it. Another trick I did is run premium fuel only and bump the timing curve up. Bike runs really good like that. If you want to go with the autoune module and wideband O2's that powervision also offers, keep in mind you will have to go with pipes for 18mm O2's. I don't believe there is any other option at this point. After considering all of these options and the price for everything, I stayed with the slipons for now. But I have had a blast playing with that tuner. Eventually I will go with the 103 kit or maybe biggewr. Then I'm swithching pipes

I really like V&H Big Radius 2-into-2 as well as Thunderheader. Whatever I go with will be black. My questions are...

1. I like BR. TH are ok looking... What are your thoughts on looks?
2. Which of these are Louder? and which sound better?
3. Everywhere I read that TH give better performance...How much better than BR?

if anyone can chime in it would be much appreciated.
Congrats on your new bike, whichever way you go exhaust wise, l'd be very interested in buying your standard system if you want to sell it. l have a new Lowrider arriving in a couple of weeks and a standard system is part of my plans...

I would say the BR. The Thunderheader may give you a small kick in power, but as the previous poster said they remind me as well of Goldwing.

I had some V&H Long Shots on my 2007 FXSTCI, they looked GREAT but, I did not like the sound whether I had the baffle in or out.
I really like the Sound of the Rineart Slip-ons, to me, they just sound Right.

I have my stock street bob exhaust in my garage. It has 10 miles on it. PM me if interested. They're heavy though. Shipping ain't cheap, but might be reasonable if you're anywhere near the southeast.

OP. The BR is slightly louder than the TH. The TH has a lot of fans, but they aren't the best quality product. They sound great and perform well, but fading and cracking can happen.
