Default Dyna value

Hey guys, long time Tourer, 1st time Dyna visitor! Good buddy currently riding Honda has Grandpa wanting to give him a hell of a deal on a '05 fuel injected low rider with under 2k miles on odometer. Problem is neither know what actual worth even is. Quick check on KBB shows about $8500. Any other good places to check? Thanks

Cycle Trader shows 39 available examples of 2005 Low Riders Priced from $17,000 down to $8,500. The 2014 goes for $14,500 plus add-ons. Unless the bike was bent or is pink polka dot it sounds like a fair price. The Low Rider has a huge fan base.
Hope this helps some.

Part of motorcycle buying is emotional. Sometimes you just have to have it, even if you pay a bit too much.

Yeah, I can attest to that. I had been "browsing" for a new-to-me bike for about a year and one day it just spoke to me. Had to have it.

Just like GAS in the guitar world (that's Guitar Acquisition Syndrome). When they speak to you, they have to come home.

It happens.

$8,500 is a good deal with that mileage if in excellent condition. Six months ago I paid around $7K for my '04 with 15,000 miles but nearby Harley dealers were asking $10-11K for similar bikes.

Dunno, nice low miles. Only paid 6500$ for my 07 with 9800 miles, lots of goodies and extras. With an 05 your going to have the smaller motor and 5 speed tranny. I usually see what bikes are actually selling for on ebay to see a real price.
