Default Any idea how to get this headlight apart?




I don't see any screws or anything... it's ok right now, but in the future if the bulb needs to be replaced, I'd rather know how to do it ahead of time.

trim ring on the inside unscrews. then you can remove the assembly. here is a shot of my rings coated


in this pic you can see i masked off the threads before powder

You better screw the trim ring off and apply anti-seize now. I have seen ppl leave it on for too long, can't even turn the ring when changing the bulb. I like Joe's black housing and blue ring, nice touch!

Might be too late. It's been on there since 2008 although the bike was parked indoor from late 2009 until now so it hasn't seen any weather to speak of.

Don't forget to cover your fender before ya take the rings off ..I got a headlight just like that one ..but had to change it back when I put on the quarter fairing ..
