Default Modified stock dyna seat.

Has anyone ever heard of someone modifying a stock seat to move the riding position back a couple inches? I'm happy with my stock FXDB seat- I just wish it was back an inch or two. I see the seat clamps on in the front and connects to a screw in the back. Perhaps fabricating a longer clamp in the front and making a new hole for the seat bracket to connect and move it back a bit? Is this possible?

I'm pretty sure repositioning the seats mounting tabs would not allow you to reposition the seat due to the shape of the ABS seat pan its moulded to fit the contours of your fender therefore not really capable of being moved to a new position. Your only option would be to uncover the stock seat and remove foam until you get the desired fit into the seat. And then recover. Do it yourself if possible or have an upholstery shop do it. Or just buy a new seat that fits you better. I built a solo seat for my bike out of a Road King solo seat. It is not the best looking seat but its really soft and looks old school and I like it.
