Default The first time you scraped your pipes

Happened to me for the first time today and i have to say my **** tweaked a little as I heard the grind

I've always considered myself a fairly conservative rider, I've read other people mentioning it an always thought it would never happen to me

Only had the Harley a year (rode other bikes tho) .. I guess its just a sign of my growing confidence in my bike

For me, it is always a puckering moment when you hear and feel hard parts touching down--a little more aggresiveness and it can turn into a highside.

I had less than 5 miles when I scraped a pipe on my new Super Glide..actually it was the radiator clamp screw that holds the muffler heat shield. Scared the shyt out of me, thought I trashed my bike. Not much lean angle in these Dyna's.

Sandy was her name, 34, been married once before, getting through life she was, much like everyone else.
I was coming through the kitchen door with a load of dishes heading to my wash station and she was coming out with two arm loads full of chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. You guessed it, wham!, I had it all over me.
We picked up the pieces of dish and food, another waitress took out fresh plates for the guests while Sandy swabbed the steak and gravy off of me.
At first she didn't understand how the more she rubbed the more gravy there was to wipe up, and the harder she rubbed until she realized too late it was my gravy she was rubbing out! Ahh youth!

Oh, the bike pipes Yeah, those scrape with a good lean.
Well played, Sir!

How about scrapping the primary case in a left turn? That is a rather sickening sound.

Haven't scraped the pipes yet but leaned too much to the left and scraped the kickstand on a sporty.

I wore down the muffler mount long time ago. If you ain't scrapin **** ... you ain't riding. Nothing like throwin steel sparks at night. Go watch a Police Motorcycle Competition. Scraping in turns is no big deal.
