Default Fuel gauge wiring on 2011 fat bob

I'm trying to work out how I can get my fuel gauge in my multi display speedometer to work alone. I have removed the tank mounted fuel gauge and now the central multi function speedo/tacho/rev counter/ gear indicator/fuel gauge is showing empty in the fuel gauge section. Is there an easy way to sort this? Join wires together etc? Many thanks in advance. Jim.

Hi, it did, but they never mentioned anything about removing the fuel gauge. I purchased a dummy fuel cap to replace the gauge, but I discovered that the new unit won't work without the original being plugged in too.

Easiest is to remove the circuit board from the fuel gauge and leave it under the dummy cap with some insulation to keep it from rattling. You can read more here:https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...k-is-full.html

Yea, that's an option , but I was wanting to keep the gauge in case I wanted to return the bike to standard. Thanks for the advice though. I think I may just buy a flush led fuel gauge to keep the look I'm after.
