had my neck bearings adjusted yesterday at an indy shop. when I got back to the house I noticed the turn signals were both rotated clockwise probably about 15 degrees or so. never thought anything about it, just loosened them and re aligned them. today after about 10 miles or so I noticed them rotated clockwise again. evidently the tubes are rotating clockwise. the tech never messed with anything except the neck bolt nuts, I watched him. any idea what could be causing this? tks,

Are the pinch bolts loose on the tree?

Might help if you explain how and where your turn signals are mounted.

signals are mounted just above the bottom tree, clamped to the forks.

Signal clamps might have been loosened, so they wouldn't interfere with the fork tubes sliding freely through the trees during the fallaway adjustment. But you probably already checked that?

Why would you need to slide the fork tubes in the trees to set fall away?

If you refuse to do your own service and already payed somebody to do it, just take it back to them and tell them to fix it.

all he did was to remove the cap, the big nut, the lock washer and then tightened things up. put the nut back on, torqued it to 50 ft lbs, put the cap back on and sent me on my way. the clunk is gone. if the signals had been loose then wouldn't they both be moving backwards? clamps are tight, everything is rotating to the starboard side. cinch bolts are phillips head and they are as tight as I can get them. but it wouldn't surprise me if they were to short to cinch up against the tubes far enough. tks,
