I think it is Butt ugly !!! It has suffered many weld failures the chrome not that awesome. Why do folks swear it the holy grail of exhaust for ?

 

I'm guessing it is the bad boy of loud. Ugly is part of the bad boy theme. It's prolly good for performance too.

 

If you have to ask you will never understand. It's like asking, "why do people love guns so much?" Or "what's so great about a *****?"

 

They do sound good imo but a lot that I have seen look as if quality is not too good. In fact just yesterday at the shop a tech was telling me he has always ran them but is tired of replacing them due to shitty quality. He was liking my bobcat by d and d. Still cant deny the sound of the thunderheader!

 

All the clips I have heard make it sound unharley. IMHO

But too each there own.

 

More accurately, it's like having a second ***** that makes you go faster and has the power to blow up people's eardrums.

Sounds and looks like it belongs on a 89 Goldwing. No thanks.

 

Thunderheader is not a cookie cutter style exhaust like Vance & Hines.
As upflying said, it is the "Bad Boy" of loud and ugly, both qualities I like.

 

they sound awesome, especially if the engine has upgraded cams. They are expensive, then you have to pay extra for heat shields. I like my VH propipe better...
