Default back rest on the dyna

all my bikes have all had a back rest on them with the exception of my Z1000. I've always liked it until now. I just put a detachable back rest on my '08 super glide to take my girlfriend riding this weekend. This time I just don't like the look, it makes the bike look so much bigger. I like the solo look better especially with the mini apes. Glad it's detach..

I prefer mine set up for solo as well, don't really care for the backrest either but it's a necessity when riding 2 up.

I feel you. I run a detach sissy bar with a medium size pad for the back rest. It looks horrible on my bike but a necessity for those rare occasions my wife rides with me. thankfully it is detachable.

I have a quick release one for when I need to haul luggage. It spends its time on a shelf in my bedroom but it has the passenger seat with it to keep it company.

Had one ridged mounted to the sporty for strapping stuff to but with the bob trying to avoid any luggage so avoiding it. Strapped a hoody to the bars for after work the other day and even that buffeted something terrible.
